Radian65SL is a convertible car seat for rear-facing children 5-40 lbs and forward-facing children up to 65 lbs in a 5-point harness. Its steel alloy frame and SuperLATCH system are NCAP crash tested, making it the first car seat to allow lower anchor installation up to 65 lbs - no seat belt required. Radian65SL features reinforced sides and protective EPS foam panels for side impact protection and SafeStop®, an energy absorbing harness system. Its low profile makes child boarding a snap and its unique design provides more shoulder room yet still fits 3-across in a mid-size car. It features extra foam padding for a comfortable ride. This car seat is great. I have 3 kids in car seats, and this is the only one that allows me to put them all in a row. We've also traveled on airplanes with these, and they are very easy to fold, carry and install on the planes. user review

I really like this car seat. It seems to be put together well, and I love that I can use it for the next couple of years. We put our son in this car seat from day one (well day 8 to be exact) and it does need extra head support for the little ones, but the straps are adjustable and work from infancy on. The only downside to this car seat is that it's quite heavy, so if you plan on traveling a lot, it might be a bit cumbersome to lug around (but we've done it!) user review

We LOVE the size of our Sunshine Kids car seat!! It's rated great for safety too, but the narrowness of the seat is awesome! The only complaint we have is when our little one is trying to sleep, it's so upright he has nowhere to put his head. We don't travel far too often, so it's not a big deal, but if your child slept in a car seat often, it would be beneficial to find something for them to rest their head to sleep comfortably. user review

Before my third child was born I was searching for car seats that would fit in my family sedan. I didn't want to buy another car so I needed to find car seats that were narrow enough to fit three across and also be safe. I'm so glad I found the Radian! It rocks! user review
