A Mei Tai is a modern version of a two shouldered carrier that also straps around the waist. This style of carrier is very popular in Asian countries, so these carriers are also known as Asian Baby Carriers (or ABC's). These carriers are an excellent option for people who want to spread the weight of the baby over both shoulders and the waist. They can also be shared by adults who are quite different in size.

But the biggest advantage of a Mei Tai seems to be the beautiful fabrics on the panels! All of these Mei Tais are solid colored on the opposite side, offering a more muted carrier as well.

The straps are 70-72 inches long and 3 3/4 inches wide. The bottom strap is one continuous piece of fabric, which offers the most durable and safest support for your baby. The body measures 16.5 by 18.5 for the regular. The top straps are padded as well as the headrest to offer the most comfortable walk for mom and a safe, smooth ride for baby.
